- Where can ThermoTile radiant floor heating system be installed?
Our under tile heating system can be installed under most types of flooring. The mesh can be cut and manipulated to fit any floor space for comfortable, warm tile.
- Is it safe?
ThermoTile warm tile, electric floor heating system offers the highest degree of advanced overheat protection. Our complete radiant floor heating system is UL Listed in both the USA and Canada. The four insulation layers in our electric in floor heating wire include an outer alkaline layer and acid resistant Nylon layer that protects against moisture and mechanical damage.
- Will ThermoTile in-floor heating interfere with my pacemaker/cell phone/TV?
Unlike any other warm tile, electric radiant floor heating system, ThermoTile radiant floor heating systems are manufactured with both a current return wire to cancel EMF and an inner foil wrap to suppress 100% of the EMF. This eliminates interference with telephones, radios, pacemakers, hearing aides, wireless devices and televisions from your under tile heating. Without these features other electric floor heating systems may act as huge static-causing antennas under your floor.
- How easy is it to install an electric floor heating system?
ThermoTile in floor heating is incredibly installation-friendly! The 10' armored and grounded lead wires are already pre-attached to the 1.5' wide radiant floor heating mat, so you don't need to worry about where it ends! Just carefully cut the mesh between wires and turn it any way to fit your floor space for quick and easy warm tile application.
- Will ThermoTile raise my general heating bills?
No! On the contrary, electric radiant floor heating is by far more efficient than other heating systems. It is a common misconception that electric floor heating will increase your energy bill, but unlike forced air systems, radiant under tile floor heating systems do not waste heat or energy forced air through ducts or heating the ceiling.
- When will my order ship?

- Is a GFCI required?
A GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) is required for installations where moisture may be present, i.e., in bathrooms and kitchens. Either install a GFCI in the circuit or install a thermostat control with built-in GFCI.
