Energy Saving

- As shown in the diagram above, ThermoTile® concentrates warmth near the floor (living area) where you need it, not near the ceiling.
- Since more warmth is concentrated near the floor, you feel warmer.
- Since you feel warmer, you can turn down your central thermostat.
- ASHRAE* reports a "comfortable" temperature is 70°F. Forced air systems must be set at 75°F to feel this warm. Whereas with ThermoTile®, you can set your regular thermostat to 66°F and feel comfortable. This reduces your energy costs substantially.
* American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers standard 55-1992. - For each degree that you turn down your thermostat, you can save between 3% to 5% on your bill. So, if you can turn your thermostat down from 75°F to 66°F, you will save 9 times 3% to 5% or up to 45%.
- Your electric utility company may offer additional incentives for installing ThermoTile®!
- Programmable thermostats help insure maximum savings.
- Install thermostats in each room to control individual room comfort.
- Finally, ThermoTile® is silent and does not require energy-consuming blowers to force the air through the ductwork.
